Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has announced outreach appearances ahead of the Yokohama GREEN×EXPO 2027, scheduled to open on March 19, 2027. This article lists the six November events that were still upcoming when checked. Admission conditions vary by venue and should be confirmed before visiting.
Six announced November appearances
- November 1: NIPPON FOOD SHIFT FES. Tokyo 2026, Marunouchi Naka-dori
- November 7: Nenrinpic Saitama 2026, athletics stadium at Kumagaya Sports Culture Park (opening-ceremony venue)
- November 8: 49th National Tree-Growing Festival, Shirahama Hall, Wakayama
- November 11–13: Agribusiness Creation Fair 2026, Tokyo Big Sight
- November 13–14: Minori no Festival government special exhibition, Sunshine City, Ikebukuro
- November 14–15: NIPPON FOOD SHIFT FES. within the Fish Culture Festival, Osanbashi Hall, Yokohama
Depending on the venue, MAFF plans displays such as a participatory banner using flower-shaped pieces, posters and panels, official licensed goods for display, and limited novelty items. The licensed goods are to be displayed, not sold. Content varies by event.
Why it may matter to the flower trade
The outreach connects an international horticultural expo with audiences interested in food, agriculture, health, and regional life—not only dedicated flower enthusiasts. Flower businesses may be able to observe which visitor groups respond to flowers and greenery and how expo interest could connect to everyday purchases.
What to confirm
- Latest dates, admission rules, and venue notices
- Whether a MAFF booth is present and what it offers
- That display-only licensed goods are not mistaken for items on sale
- How production and distribution information at the venue connects to daily flower buying
Schedules and content can change. Check both MAFF and the individual event organizer before travelling.
