Four-panel comic

Everyday Life at the Flower Calendar Room #2: It Fits Now

A two-by-two comic in which the four editors shorten the entry point to four fields and finally accordion-fold the long record form into an archive box

In this comic: Rose asks what belongs on a small record card. Carnation’s form reaches the floor, Gerbera reduces the entrance to four fields, and Kiku checks the archive box. Carnation keeps every field by accordion-folding the form until it fits.

An educational guide from Japan’s National Museum of Nature and Science lists a specimen name, collection location, collection date, and collector as essential for a pressed seaweed specimen. The Editorial Room’s card is not a scientific label; the joke borrows only the idea that a useful record lets another person retrace what was recorded.
